PHYSICAL FEATURES
The area is generally flat with little undulation, and an altitude of between (0-200 meters) above sea level.
The texture of the soils is divided into two major groups. There are the heavy red clay soils and the ordinary clay soils. In some areas near the river the soil tends to be sandy clay loam.
The whole area of Kwamkembe has a poor drainage system because the area is almost flat with many depressions and minor topography. There is no water whether natural or artificial. All the drainage systems have silted over.
There is a bimodal rainfall pattern. Average annual precipitation is 1000mm. The amount of rainfall is well distributed throughout the year. Both the altitude and temperature favour the successful crop growth of maize, cow peas, coconuts, citrus fruits, cashew nuts, vegetable growing and raising livestock.
There is an extensive road network around the farm but majority of the roads need resurfacing and repairs in the areas where culverts or minor bridging is required
