Sykes International Marketing, a registered marketing company located in Dar-es —Salaam, Tanzania. It is a fully Tanzanian owned consulting firm dealing with security and communication equipment. The Company also deals with import and export of various types of electronic oriented merchandise and road transport We are a group of young civic minded entrepreneurs with a burning desire to make an impact on raising the living standards of the rural poor. We believe we can achieve this in tandem with the Company’s search for increase earnings. Attracted by the burgeoning demand for food locally as well as by neighbouring countries the Company acquired an 820 hectare farm (Abaral Farms Limited) for the production of perennial and seasonal crops. The farm would be used to promote agricultural and rural development in adjoining communities.

 

ASSISTANCE NEEDED

This concept provides an opportunity for the private sector to play a direct role in promoting rural development. It would compliment the Government’s very limited resources in raising the standard of living of the rural poor and hopefully, would be the forerunner of other such ventures nationally.

· To conduct feasibility study/ project preparation

· To provide technical support and training during implementation of the Project.
